The team here at Lunch Jars HQ understand the importance and benefits of drinking plenty of water throughout the day. Just search ‘benefits of drinking water’ in google and you’ll be given a long list including: increasing energy, relieve fatigue, flushes out toxins, boosts your immune system, prevents headaches, cramps and strains and improves skin completion. But here’s the thing, sometimes we find ourselves so busy that our natural reaction is to go straight to the cup of coffee instead.
So in order to try and break this ‘habit’ we are going to make a conscious effort to drink MORE of the H2O! Here are 4 easy-peasy ways to knock back more of the good stuff.
We understand that water can be a bit boring, we get it! So why not add some refreshing fruits and vegetables to give it a boost of flavour. We love Orange & Kiwi, Lemon & Cucumber or Raspberry & Mint.
Bigger is Better.
Get your hands on a bigger water bottle, fill it to the top and bring it with you EVERYWHERE! The more water you have on hand the more likely you are to drink it. We love these bottles!
Create a Challenge.
I don’t know about you, but here in the Lunch Jars HQ we love a little healthy competition. So why not challenge your friends and work colleagues to a ‘Drink Off’ – first person to reach the recommended daily intake of water wins!!
Set a Reminder.
Most phones these days have reminder apps in built, so why not use it to set friendly reminder throughout the day to have a glass of water. It’s best to have a full glass of water 30 minutes before each meal, so set a reminder before breakfast, lunch and dinner.
